The Galliard Ensemble Wind Quintet

Following their membership of the BBC Radio 3’s New Generation Artists scheme, the Galliard Ensemble has been firmly placed as one of Britain’s leading chamber ensembles.

The Galliard Ensemble, founded in 1993 at the Royal Academy of Music, has performed at the BBC Proms, Wigmore hall, South Bank Centre and Bridgewater Hall, and at international festivals.They have appeared as concerto soloists with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and are frequently broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and internationally.

They have worked closely with many leading contemporary composers, including Sir Harrison Birtwistle, Gyorgy Ligeti, Paul Patterson, and Richard Rodney Bennett and have released four internationally distributed CDs, which have won many accolades.
